FRANK is the youth arm of OCBC Bank, providing a suite of services including credit cards, investment and insurance products targeted at consumers below 30. UNIFORM was engaged by FRANK to create four campaigns across the span of one year, the first of which was themed around Sustainability and ran from April through May 2018.

April 2018 – Ongoing

CAMPAIGN #1 - SUSTAINABILITY

I. OUR SINGAPORE REEFS

UNIFORM shot and interviewed the team from Our Singapore Reefs (OSR), a non-profit organisation dedicated to cleaning up the marine debris that resides in Singapore’s waters. We also interviewed the team to learn more about their motivations behind founding OSR, their thoughts on sustainability and how the public can contribute to reducing our impact on the environment through changes to daily lifestyle habits.


II. MESSYMSXI

For the second part of the Sustainability campaign, UNIFORM visited artist Tan Zi Xi, better known as Messymsxi at her studio. In addition to a photoshoot, we had a conversation about the origins of her artistic practice, her experience with financial planning in her student days and presently in her freelance career, and how she practices conscious consumption in her everyday life.

CAMPAIGN #2 - FASHION

For FRANK’s second campaign themed around fashion, we shot and interviewed founder and designer of YESAH, Linda Hao, who  throughout her career has also taken on other roles, from being a DJ to costume designer and educator. Over a day spent at her home studio, we photographed, filmed and interviewed Linda about the financial lessons she learned from starting up her own business, and her plans and goals for the future.

 

Ahead of a DIY and craft workshop organised by FRANK and led by Linda which was held at the Singapore Management University on Saturday, 22nd September 2018, we also photographed and interviewed Linda about upcycling and DIY culture, both of which play a major role in her fashion practice.

CAMPAIGN #3 - MUSIC

Music was the theme of the third campaign, and UNIFORM worked with local singer-songwriter Charlie Lim, whose most notable achievement of late has been helming the production of the 2018 National Day song, a soulful revamp of the 1987 classic ‘We Are Singapore’ which was released to widespread acclaim. Over the course of an afternoon photographing and filming Charlie at Beep Studios, where he recorded his 2015 EP Time/Space, we interviewed him about his musical journey, the challenges he’s overcome along the way, and the essential financial lessons aspiring musicians need to learn before embarking on a musical career.

In addition to the photography and copywriting for the campaign content, UNIFORM also filmed and produced videos for a number of the campaign collaborators.

CREDIT CARD CAMPAIGN

FRANK by OCBC launched their first ever credit card in July 2020 and wanted to communicate that it was a card for multihyphenates, giving you 6% cashback on all online spending, no matter your passions or pursuits. We created a series of digital artworks to act as teaser for the launch, playfully putting together unexpected combinations that are befitting of any multi-tasking millennial.
